Every October, I draw from prompts,
This week’s word was CROWN , and as I pulled a tarot card for guidance, I was literally artblocked all day. I was gonna do Maduro corwning himself with special powers.. or the Canada Post issue with the CROWN CORPORATION.. But then I thought the big news was the new Trump 1dollar coin.. DO IT.. I turned over the Ace of Pentacles, the hand from the clouds offering a single coin. Headlines announce the proposed 250th-Anniversary Commemorative Coin, featuring Trump and the words “Fight, Fight, Fight.”, “Ace of Crowns.”
In it, I imagine America’s 250th year..
Surrealism, for me, happens when the collective dream overlaps with the headlines.. when the mystical and the political .. echo each other. A tarot card. Prosperity / Opportunity / Manifestation /Reward / Divine Offer
