“Too late, Gavin the truckloads already rolled in.”
That’s the line I gave Donald Trump in my latest political cartoon a response to his speech, that he holds “truckloads” of evidence exposing rigged elections in California. At the center of his accusation: Gavin Newsom
The cartoon is direct. Trump stands beside an open semi loaded with boxes labeled Whistleblowers, Affidavits, TimeStamps, and Ballot Dumps. Newsom is off-balance, flanked by a bureaucratic rat whispering: “They have everything.”
It’s not just about California. It’s about what happens when truth is bureaucratized, redacted, and finally declared irrelevant. It reminded me of Dostoevsky’s Demons. His radicals wanted to destroy faith and tradition to remake society. But today’s left doesn’t want to remake it wants to unmake: truth, body, and language alike.
This cartoon is about receipts.
If the proto-communists in Dostoevsky’s Demons or The Brothers Karamazov were shown today’s revolutionary movements especially the modern left’s fusion of identity politics and trans ideology they wouldn’t celebrate it.
They would be appalled.
Not because it’s too radical but because it’s radical in the wrong direction.
Dostoevsky’s characters sought to control man by annihilating institutions: faith, family, hierarchy. Today’s left seeks to dissolve man altogether blurring the body, fragmenting language, and demanding fealty to feelings over form.
It’s not the revolution of the proletariat anymore. It’s a revolution of unreality.
We are witnessing the fulfillment of Ivan Karamazov’s nightmare:
“If God is dead, everything is permitted.
