Today I created a cartoon inspired by the chorus coming from Trump’s allies: Marco Rubio, Lindsey Graham, Scott Bessent all repeating that Donald J. Trump is the only leader in the world who can bring Putin and Zelensky to peace.
I translated this into mythological symbolism:
- Trump as the Sun (☉), radiating laurel-tipped rays of authority.
- Zelensky as Mercury (☿), the messenger quick, winged, silver.
- Putin as Saturn (♄), heavy, ringed, the old empire of time.
All orbit Trump, held by his gravity alone.
This cartoon is part of my ongoing project to render politics not as memes, but as historical art, echoing coins, medals, and reliefs of Rome and the Federalist era.
Trump is the Sun. The others are planets. History will orbit accordingly.
