Versailles in the White House
This week’s cartoon is set inside the newly envisioned White House ballroom .. inspired by my trip to Versailles and its legendary Hall of Mirrors. I stood in awe of its reflective gold grandeur and couldn’t help but imagine President Trump bringing that same level of beauty and permanence to the People’s House.
In this piece, President Trump joins George Washington as the only presidents to have refused a salary a rare act of patriotic sacrifice. Meanwhile, Louis XIV, the original Sun King, peers in with confused disbelief:
“Wait… you give money away?”
This cartoon isn’t just a tribute to history it’s a reflection on what real legacy looks like: not in power taken, but in beauty built and wealth returned to the people. Both George Washington and the Sun King, are in awe of President Donald Trump.
I officially made Trumps eyes template. I am using them for all my cartoons going forward. I made it myself.

here are 2 gag cartoons I drew, to show my range..
A friend of mine shared a cautionary story: his colleague had successfully published a cartoon book on Amazon and reportedly made over $20,000 from it. But despite the success, the book was suddenly pulled from the platform.
The reason? Amazon requested proof that the interior artwork .. the cartoons .. were created by a real human. Because he couldn’t provide adequate documentation or signed artist releases, the entire listing was removed, and the opportunity was lost.
Going forward, my friend now requires signed NDAs and proof of authorship for every cartoon he purchases or licenses. Platforms like Amazon and others are tightening rules around AI generated content, and creators must be able to verify that all included work is human made and properly attributed.
True Story. So you see my friends, you need a human artist. Along with your AI business plans. Include it.
