I watched the entire thing in North Carolina. I heard all the stories of the people who survived it. All those people in the back had a chance to talk. It was a very commendable display of leadership, President Donald Trump, accompanied by First Lady Melania, in combat boots, visited the resilient state of North Carolina, still recovering from the ravages of Hurricane Helene. With decisive action, he criticized the inefficiencies of the Federal Emergency Management Agency or FEMA as we know it.. proposing its overhaul to better serve the people. Maybe even getting rid of it. For it is the State’s responsibility, the disasters, after all, THAT IS WHAT STATES ARE FOR! He advocated for empowering states to take a more active role in disaster recovery, recognizing their unique understanding of local needs. Such initiative reflects a commitment to swift and effective relief for the afflicted. The President’s dedication to cutting through bureaucratic red tape and placing trust in state governance demonstrates a profound respect for the principles of federalism and the capabilities of local authorities. Let us acknowledge this effort to enhance our nation’s responsiveness to calamities. Praise be to Samaritan’s Purse and Our President.
