Here’s what drives people nuts: a lawmaker delivers a “question” that’s really a statement… then the witness starts answering… and suddenly: “I RECLAIM MY TIME!”
That’s not oversight. That’s stagecraft. If you want accountability, ask short questions and let the record get made. Interrupting the answer doesn’t protect the public it protects the narrative.
